On this same subject, in your opinion, what is the best most accessible scanner? I have a whole house full of police radios and emergency services scanners none of which are especially usable.

The regency had a greater sensitivity. I had to tighten down the squelch to eliminate that problem. Later my neighbor purchased a new scanner and it caused so much interference in the regency that I had to move it to the other end of the house.
