Hi Lee, The heat anticipator is part of the workings of the thermostat.

question  so where is the heat anticipattor? is that part of a senor
? or is that nside the honeywell? I have one of those large  letters I
guess but  what I use is the  use of  you feel a click  for every two
degrees. seems as it has to be  set at 74 to get 72 Lee
