Bob, I understand, what I went through changing that belt, I should have
sent it to a garage. The labor cost would not have been worth the
frustration plus I would not have had to purchase a special tool to change
the belt. They told me that the pump is $130. The last pump I changed was on
a 1969 Olds 98. I still remember complaining that part was $29.
I don't know why I did not smell any antifreeze or why there was nothing on
the ground. She parks the car at the same place. Even if there was some on
the ground I am glad that it is the red stuff. My guide tends to try and
lick things.
Since the van is on a lift with no antifreeze I suspect that it will become
a priority job at the dealer.

It's a big job, the timing belt has to come off to get to the water pump.
Usually there is a sign of some sort to tell if the pump is getting ready to
die. A special noise they make, or some dripping. Not likely the
dealership pumped it up to 30 pounds and blew the seal around the pump
shaft.

Remember part of that price is that high dollar anti freeze too.
