My only guess is could something be sitting on a button or in some other way holding one down? Maybe kids with sticky fingers got one of the buttons sticking down or maybe it is one of those remotes with a backlit display and the light is on?
These are only guesses. ----- Original Message ----- From: Claudia To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, April 15, 2009 6:33 PM Subject: [BlindHandyMan] Appliances Draining Batteries Quickly? Hi, What would cause batteries to drain quickly, in things like remote controls for television sets? We have a Dish TV satellite system, and one of the remotes constantly has to have the batteries replaced! Granted, I don't buy the very expensive batteries; I buy Wal-Mart's off brand, but I don't have problems using them in other devices! This problem is really out of control because we're having to replace batteries, every two to three weeks, as of late! Dish is no help because they don't think it's a problem!
