Andy, the brand we have is called the creepy crawler. it has a
seperate but same size hose as the vac on the end of the long pole.
the only moving parts are inside at the just inside the base and they
feel like wooden rounded blocks. at the base there is like a one foot
square rubber which seems to be part of a guide for this vac. it
is set up by making sure there are no kinks in the hose and then I
fill the hose and vac with water at the inlet you can hear when the
bubbles stop and then it gets moved up over the top to the skimmer .
Now keep in mind . this little vac is not for heavy work it is for
daily vac's . like right now we are using the big vac with the brush
on it . our biggest problem is a bean or catawaba tree which really
dumps some crap into the pool. oh the cost of this creepy crawler is
or was 12 years ago $250. Lee
