Well a 3 day project that took 14 days is now finished. Just have to put
things back in place.
Because of our daughter's up-coming wedding we decided to have this back
computer room re-done. A contractor gave us a 3 to 4 day time estimate to
repair walls paint and install new carpet. We purchased the paint Home
Depot. The quote paint expert quote really messed up. She did not only not
mix the paint correctly she did not tell us that it needed a required tinted
primer. After two coats of kills and one top coat the topcoat was really a
mess. Called back to HD for guidance the same girl told us that we should
have used a gray primer. That did not sound right so we called the paint
manufacturer. He told us that it specifically states that it needs a tinted
primer and that HD made a mistake.
We then went to HD and talked to a manager. After explaining everything that
went on she took us back to the paint expert. The girl told the manager that
paint needs no primer. The manager put the codes in the computer and big
letters across the screen stated that a tinted primer was required. The
manager then called the manufacturer to ask how we can fix the problem. He
wanted us not to do anything for a few days until everything is cured. We
were given the new products. Then the contractor became ill and we lost a
few more days.
I just turned the email back on for this and my other lists. Although I
requested not to have emails held, I only just downloaded 780 messages. You
know that select all and delete works pretty quick.
Anyway I am back .
