Well, Home Depot covered the cost of replacing materials and the contractor 
did not charge for his lost time. I plan to make a trip back to HD. I wonder 
if that girl still works there. The manager was not too happy when she told 
the manager and us that color does not need a primer. I think that the 
contractor did not charge because of the week or so that he lost due to 
sickness.

okay Lenny, fess up . did  Home depot cover the extra charges or the
contractor  ? I find this  hard to understand, not your project but
when anyone of us  contracts a job out we expect or understand that
