I doubt if you can even get leadjacks/flashings. About three years ago I tried
to sell some at a salavge yard and they would not take them because they were
hazardous waste. So there your are.

Subject: [BlindHandyMan] roofing question
I remember from a while back in an email on this list that I should make
sure the roofer replaces all the roof jacks with lead around plumbing pipes,
not
the rubber ones. I asked my potential roofer about this and he told me he
does not use the lead ones cause squarles eat the lead. He says he uses a new
plastic roof jack arround the plumbing.
Is this right?
