Dan.  What you need is called a video modulator.  They are built into VCRs 
but generally not DVD players and game consoles.  They were needed to play a 
DVD player through an older set that didn't have direct video and audio 
inputs.  I suppose the digital transition has made them a little more 
scarce.  Radio shack used to sell them.  Try a Google search.
