Maybe you can send some of those temps to Vancouver. It seems they forgot Olympic events call for colder temps and snow...

There might be 15 or 18 inches on the ground and so far this week we have had high temperatures of minus 8 or 9, what you would call 16 or 18 F and low temperatures from about minus 15 to 23 or 24, what you would call between maybe 5 and 15 below. For us this is practically tropical. We have been getting snow at the rate of two or three centimeters a day, an inch or two. On the coast they do have enough ice for the polar bears to hunt but their season will be short. It was our winter carnival this week, lots of activity on the ice on the lake in the middle of town. Helicopter rides making noise all over town yesterday and today. They have an ice fishing derby on the lake today, there was a lake trout stocked again this year with a $25,000 tag, no one has ever caught it so far though, I expect I will hear on Tuesday if someone got it this year. I get tomorrow off, a new long week-end, Family Day, Ontario declared it a couple of years ago. If I was Han Solo I'd probably pet my wookie ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob Kennedy To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, February 14, 2010 10:18 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] it's quiet Yesterday there was snow in my back yard. I'm trying to get in touch with Al Gore to talk about this global warming crap he's been selling. I think it might have been the coldest January over all since I've lived in NC. ----- Original Message ----- From: Max Robinson To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, February 14, 2010 9:38 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] it's quiet I thought there was snow on some of the mountain tops.
