Just got back in from three hours of shoveling. Thankfully the neighbour across
the road came along with a big diesel pick-up with a bucket on the front and
hauled away a couple of buckets full of snow I had piled up in preparation for
taking it to the end of the drive and loading up on the bank. The top fifty
feet has the house and a hedge which is behind a retaining wall all of which is
too high to throw the snow over so I have to push it all down beyond that point
before I can throw it up onto the bank. Another half an inch of snow fell in
the last half hour I was out there. They expect I'll be moving another four
inches or more by the time I get home from work tomorrow.

Actually I look pretty darn good in a dressing gown. Not much protection from
what I wear under it though but it isn't all that cold out today and no wind.

If I was Han Solo I'd probably pet my wookie

Thanks for the lovely picture you put in all our heads of you wearing a
  dressing gown.

The graders are out this morning cleaning the streets but I haven't stuck my
head out yet to see just how much we got. Still in my dressing gown working
on draining the coffee pot and listening to interviews with some of our
  present and previous skiers.

I expect that Janet and I will be out pushing snow again today. I hope the
town hasn't plowed too much into the mouth of the driveway.

I just stepped out the back door onto the patio. Over night we got a good 6
inches and it is still coming down. Got snow on the hem of my dressing gown.

Yesterday there was snow in my back yard. I'm trying to get in touch with Al
Gore to talk about this global warming crap he's been selling. I think it
might have been the coldest January over all since I've lived in NC.
