I can't see how the statement about Dolly made this person look stupid.  Everybody does not know that Two Coats is older than Dolly.  That is arrogant presumption.  My wife knows the song and she knows Dolly, but she did not know the song was older than Dolly.  What has happened is the person was ignorant to the knowledge of the song - not stupid.  Ignorant means you don't know any better, and therefore can’t be blamed.  Stupid means you know better, but you do something ridiculous anyway ... like using a bluegrass forum to cut someone down for your own amusement.  What's the point?  It has nothing to do with the issues at hand and only wastes the time of the reader.  What can possibly be gained?  Take care.

Dont you just love somebody who states something so braod and confident,

just to find that they made themselves look stupid.  Everybody knows 2 coats

is older than Dolly herself
