Hey Brian,
The feedback that I provided to Chris was that I thought we should start getting UserVoice active before we promote it so heavily on the site. Currently they're are two ideas, but if we can get up over ten or so I think it will become much clearly to new visitors how to use it and the sort of thing that is expected. I also believe that we can setup "topics" in UserVoice and I'd encourage us to do so to separate ideas between the Foundation and technology. I also wonder how we plan to integrate UserVoice and GetSatisfaction, or if we still do.

Basically, I want us to have a plan and some engagement on UserVoice before it becomes the most prominent thing on the site.

Hi All,

Chris has gotten UserVoice hooked up on the OpenID.net website, you can see it at the bottom of the page under “Discuss/Ideas” Thanks Chris!

I’m suggesting that we also implement the “feedback widget” which makes it more clear how to use the feedback tool. You can see UserVoice’s widget at UserVoice on the left hand side of the page. Anyone have concerns about implementing the “feedback widget” on our site? The advantage is that this proactively encourages site visitors to provide feedback. The more feedback we get the more we’ll know what the community is looking for from the OIDF.

Just as we posted about moving the OpenID code repo to Google Code, I'd like to put such a visible feature to the board list first. I can go ahead and make that request if you like. Recordon had more specific thoughts that he might be willing to share when he returns this week.

Sure, go for it.

I simply haven't the time lately to do the kind of design/touch ups I'd like to — so if you smooth the integration/design, that'd be swell.

Thanks!

Hey Guys --

You're very welcome! This is a great start, though the UV page looks a little plain. If it's okay with you, we'd like to spruce it up a bit to match the OpenID brand. Would that be okay?

Hi Chris,

Great to see that its up and running now under the “Ideas” link at the bottom of the page, thank you, but I’d guess that most people don’t take the time to scroll to the bottom of the footer or even notice the “ideas” link. The great thing about the “feedback widget” is that it proactively encourages feedback, which I think is what we want. Would also be good to put this on the OIDF wiki site as well. What’s the downside of using the feedback widget? I’m seeing it more places and think it will be good for the OIDF to show that we’re proactively soliciting feedback, not to mention that lots of good ideas will come from it as well as the relative priorities of requests.

By the way Marcus, thanks for your support with this as well, we really appreciate it.
