I made the following changes and deployed on SETI@home.
Let me know if any problems.
1) "jump to first unread" goes to the page containing the first
unread post, and jumps to that post.
2) Links to specific posts (e.g. from search results)
go to the page containing the post, and jump to it.
A remaining glitch: if you read the page of newest posts,
all posts in that thread are considered read,
even those on older pages which you may not have read.
There's no easy way to fix this,
and I don't think it's a problem that arises in normal use cases.
