What would be nice would to display the last N posts in the thread when you are creating a post in the thread. Where N = the page size. This allows the user to control how much context is there. Users of slow and instable connections would set the page size small and possibly open a second page to add the response. Users of high speed stable connections could set to see enough context to reply to the thread in just the single window.

When answering to no specific post, just to the thread, no posts of the thread show. To be answering to one or more posts in the thread, but not specifically to any of them, we'll now have to open the thread twice, once to answer, the other to look for who to answer what to. In the old style the thread would show in its completeness underneath the answer-window. Another --kind of fun-- glitch is when you have someone on ignore, but are still eager to see what he/she posted. When their post is on any page other than the first one, when you click "Click here to show post", you're thrown back to the first page, first post in the thread. By the time you load the page with their post on it, the post is hidden again. Yet another glitch is when you are in a thread with multiple pages, while you're on any page but for page one: Adjust your "amount of posts per page" value to something large, like 250 posts. Save changes. Now reload the thread with F5 or CTRL+F5. It'll show as first post the first post of the page you were on, the whole 'first page' itself is gone. -- -- Jord. _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address. _______________________________________________ boinc_dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ssl.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/boinc_dev To unsubscribe, visit the above URL and (near bottom of page) enter your email address.
