If you look in the top of markups.php (in the boltwire/barn/scripts folder), you can see all the current markups available in BoltWire. Find one close to what you want and modify it. It does involve some knowledge of regex patterns however. And if it's a custom function, perhaps some php as well. Create a file called config.php and add your new rule there. If you can be more specific about what kind of output you want, there may be an existing markup rule you can use, such as <div class='whatever'>Text</div> There's also fully styleable spans and paragraphs as well.
