I definately agree with you there. But, as I said earlier, on the
flip-side, had I given up on The Outsiders (the first 50 pages sucked)
I would have missed out on a really good book.

But in most cases, if the beginning sucks, the ending does too.

PS: And Lord of the Rings...ick. I hated those books. I forced myself
to read them, but how they were written I just couldn't get into them.
And they're like a 6th grade reading level...so I'm not sure what it
was. I loved the movies...but the books...ick.
