Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense so I just double-checked to be safe and I don't even have any BookCrossing members e-mail addresses in my address book. Also, my computer is set to run virus scans regularly and it's always clean but just to be sure I ran one before I even replied the first time and there's nothing on my system. I wonder what pleasure the people who come up with these stupid viruses get from doing this to people? It really makes no sense to me.

They might pick out an address at random from the infected computer's and send an e-mail pretending to be from them. In other words, if I had a virus, it would probably search through my address book and decide to pretend to be my mom. So it would send a message (with an attached virus) to people in my address book, but the people who got it would think that my mom sent it even though it came from my computer. And even if it did come to my computer, I didn't send it myself. Still, if you have both these people on your list, run a virus scan on your computer to make sure yours isn't infected. Actually, it's a good idea to run a virus scan anyway. Meg [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
