I would bet that JTAG is available there. A lot of traces go there
directly from the CPU. But even if that worked, we would still have to
know the architecture and how the software is supposed to work. Without
the original code, labels, variable names, comments, there is hardly any
chance. As far as I could find out, Logitech is apparently not very
cooperative in terms of making this open to public. Service manuals may
not exist at all because back in the day they would just send you a new
SqueezeBox (not necessarily the same model if what you had was outdated
at the time) and toss the defective one, whatever problem you had. No
need for repairs? Or no time? While I love the Squeezebox series, the
politics and economy on the manufacturer side are just a big riddle.
