So, I tried the 3 options and decided to go with refoaming. Here are my
impressions (first, my Boom is up and running fine again, which is the
most important :), this farting sound was disheartening)

- The FaitalPro are the easiest fit, I think. All I had to do was
trimming the "legs" flat (sorry, I'm going to miss vocabulary here) so
that the speaker would fit as deep as possible inside. Otherwise, there
was a gap between the frame hole and the speaker frame
- The Dayton did not fit well and seem to require more trimming plus the
screw holes did not match. I did not do the whole adaptation when I saw
the misfit for the holes
- The refoaming is reasonabily easy to do (used the speakerrepair one),
just need a bit of patience when removing the old one. I did not do a
perfect job there, so I might have to redo it one day, but at least I
know well how to do. Do not forget to glue the cone first, then the
frame after. Don't try both at the same time
