I was very pleased to find this forum and posting. I need to dismantle my Boom because of a bad power jack. I'll look at and fix the speakers if necessary while I'm in there.
Basically, the power works and will stay working for months at a time if I wiggle it and position it right. The wall wart connection seems fine.
