Hi Beman,
I understand your concern about the size of libs/documentation. Most of the
code is not code that we need to maintain; it's there for convenience,
because getting developers started when they have to download several
packages, copy them to the right places, and then start using the tools. The
actual code we maintain is quite a bit smaller:
- The BoostBook -> DocBook XSL stylesheets comprise 224k.
- The DTD is < 8k.
- The library documentation (Function, Signals, & Ref) is 440k
I'll revisit the organization question to see if we can get the DocBook XSL
stylesheets & DTD out of CVS without raising the barriers too far.
