I find the help system excellent!
I primarily use the context sensitive help with chord-h. That gets
me what I need about ninety-nine percent of the time. Otherwise,
opening the appropriate section of the manual in KeyWord and using
the find command takes care of the rest.
I rarely need to use the index, but have found it useful a time or two.
The reality is, the more powerful the device, the more details one
will have to wade through.
A very happy PK user,

Well, Sarah, that's why there are people called Technical Writers
who do this for a profession, and get big bucks for doing it. Your
term eventually is the clue that this help system is not as easy to
use as it might be. A good help system gets the information you need
promptly without meandering through extraneous topics, details, and
related comments. Perhaps you haven't yet had experience with a
really rigorously written help system as they are few and far between.
