Hi. It doesn't do that for me. Another thing you could do is to just remove
the wireless card. I have done that a time or two.
It seems that only when using a modem or cell phone connected serially that
you are asked if you want to stayc onnected after getting email.
I don't remember being asked that when my wireless card is in.
So, just do a function o c w n.
If you want to connect, You would do a function o c w y.

situation, when you've left everything back to the main menu shut down

is, you get that it is connected, what it's called, then the system locks
up forcing the reset. Guess I'll ttry to remember to meander off into
space and disconnect before I shut down, but it sure slows down a quick
mail check.
