AS for bookshare, you do need to be a member before you can download books, or 
at least those which are not in the public domain.

There is already a link to bookshare in your favorites on the MPower, so you 
don't need to set up email for that unless you're actually referring to two 
items 
here, one being bookshare and the other being email.

What you need to do though is to set up a configuration in connectivity under 
the options menu in order to connect to the internet in the first place.  

Just what kind of connection you need to set up depends on how you are 
accessing the internet such as via dialup, dsl, or maybe through some type of 
home network.  

Once you get that connection established, you can go to the internet browser on 
the MPower and select bookshare and go directly to the site.  Email isn't 
necessary for that at all.  

I've downloaded books from bookshare and also set up email accounts as well as 
connectivity configurations.  

This entire process is handled differently in keysoft versions prior to 6.1, so 
maybe that's where the confusion comes in.
