Hi Les,

Well, you might let it run for a couple of minutes or so as it won't hurt 
anything.  Actually, once you start it, it will continue to exercise the 
display until you 
stop it by exiting with the usual exit command.  

It cycles through several different sets of firing off dots from one row at a 
time to all rows and also from left to right.  Kind of interesting to watch 
actually, and 
it does seem to get rid of any dirt or maybe even slight covring of where the 
dots come up.  

Since your situation appears to be quite intermitent, it's sure worth a try.

Hi Les,

Did you try exercising the braille display.  This works just the same way as
it does in earlier versions of keysoft.  That is, go into support mode and
hit x to start the display exercising routine.
