Another bit of follow-up on this problem.
I tried to create a new configuration thinking perhaps something got corrupted. When choosing the "device to use" and selecting USB Cable, why does it have a phone number field?
I really am wondering if the PK 6.01 update broke something.

I now get the same thing happening at home on my computer running Windows XP Home Edition. I haven't used Activesync in a long time. I am wondering if it is a problem in the 6.01 PK update?
I never had this problem before.

Anyone from Humanware please chime in?

Subject: [Braillenote] PK and USB malfunction?

For some mysterious reason, when I plugged my PK into the USB port today, the computer decided that the "usb device has malfunctioned..." I hear the connect tone and then the disconnect tone, repeatedly. Once in a while, activesync tries to connect, but doesn't hold. Does anyone have a solution for this? This hasn't happened quite this way before. The computer is an HP running Windows XP Pro. The PK is running Keysoft 6.01.

The Activesync connection is set to USB.
I have been using the GPS with the Bluetooth receiver, but I switched the activesync connection back to USB before I tried to connect to the computer.

Thanks for any wisdom.

Richard
