Interesting that you report this, because, you're not the only one.  It
does seem strange, though I guess you just have to adopt a "take charge"
attitude with your Mpower and make sure you make it do what you tell it!
(smile)
Seriously, it would be interesting if others have experienced a similar
problem with dial-up, perhaps there is some commonality here that we
might be able to focus on.

I had the exact same problem with dial-up connections.  I have a
wireless 
connection but I wanted to set up a dial-up configuration until my time 
period for my account ran out, which was about a week.  I tried for
hours to 
set things up right, and no matter what I did, it didn't work.  Don 
remembers this well, I'm sure.  I finally got things to work after
deleting 
both the configuration and the account in the keymail setup directories 
menu.  I started all over, and I finally got it to work.  Try doing that
a 
couple of times and you might be successful.  For whatever reason, the 
MPower doesn't like user names and passwords at first, but after you
change 
them or delete them a few times, the MPower calms down and decides it
might 
as well get along with you because you're bigger and besides, you're the

boss.  (Smile.)
