Hi, Jean. There was a problem with doing a calibration and I thought the
battery was draining too fast.

Paul, just curious. Why did your mPower have to go back to the shop?

Hi. I don't know that I prefer the newer cursor routing keys over the old
ones. Since I still have my bn classic and my MPower is in the shop, I
got a chance to go back to my old unit for a week. The only thing that
bothered me was the constant clicking of the display as I moved around. I
had gotten so used to the quiet display in the past month as well as the
smoothness of the platform when the dots are not up.
When mine comes back tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how I feel
going back to the MPower.
One thing I can say with certainty is that the bn classic batteries last
longer during charges than do the MPower batteries.
Maybe they fixed something in my MPower so they will more closely match,
but judging from what I have read on the list and watching my own MPower,
I never had to charge my old bn four to five times in a two week period.
Granted, if you use it a lot including wireless, of course you would have
to charge it much more, but for the past week, I have not been doing
anything except for reading. I am at 34 percent. With the bn classic, I
can run it down to pretty near zero percent before it goes flat. With the
MPower, you are going to go flat shortly after reaching ten percent. This
is probably due to how lithium batteries operate.
I don't remember when I charged the bn classic, but think it was last
friday or Saturday and here it is Thursday evening. My MPower never would
have lasted this long.
As I say, I want to see how the battery life has improved once my unit
comes back.
I really don't have a problem if the MPower needs to be charged more
because of a shorter battery life. One can only get three or four hours
tops out of a laptop. But unless soemthing changes with my repaired unit,
I think the MPower just drains batteries faster.
