Sherry;
Good luck with your new job! We will all miss you. Be sure to come back
and join us again after you get used to your new job. Put some aside, in
savings or in a Christmas fund and before you know it, you will be able to
get a transplant yourself.
Good luck.
Terry Powers

If I had 2000 I'd damn sure be jumping at the chance too. I'd give almost
anything to have an mPower, under darn near any terms at all.

A couple years ago, I joined this list to learn how to use my braille note
more effectively. thanks to the wonderful list members and human ware
staff, I have been able to do so, though still not as thoroughly as people
who use it as their primary computing device. lately, I find I simply get
in my folder for this group and delete all the messages, because it's always
someone complaining. I'm about to start working again, and i don't have
time for all this. So, I'm going to unsubscribe from this list for a while.
To those who are so unhappy with Human ware or the braille note family of
products, please consider expressing your concerns directly to them.
anyway, to all those who have been so helpful to me, and patient with my
dumb questions, I really appreciate all of you. I'll be back, i suppose,
when life settles down a bit. Hopefully, someday I'll be in the group
enjoying the mPower.

It's worth it to me. I don't ever plan to sell my MPower so that's not an
issue, either. I don't consider myself as buying a used mPower at all. As
I said before, my Braille displays are perfectly fine and I guess I just
don't see what the problem is. I know of no other company in the blindness
industry that has offered its customers such a deal, and I jumped at the
chance to take advantage of it. I'm a winner, definitely.

So then what you folks are saying who are taking advantage of the Transplant
offer is that it is worth $2000 to you to get a new plastic case, system
board, and software upgrade put onto your old, used Braille display and have
a used mPower from the start. You're not concerned that you won't be able
to sell in a competitive market with all mPowers because buyers won't have
any way to know what they are buying regarding the most expensive component,
the display. And you don't care that you are tossing out a perfectly good
and functional voicenote at the same time which could be used by someone
else or at the very least parted out to help those less fortunate than
yourself to upgrade to a better unit. This still looks like a lose win
situation to me where the winners are at Humanware, but I guess I'm still
missing something since by virtue of my not participating in this deal, I'm
apparently not a "loyal customer" worthy of "reward".
