You mean that just by feeling it you can tell if it is a thinner case? What if they just changed the texture? I think that Jonathan stated that they did change the look of the case. I don't think this means it is inferior because its feel has changed and since it is in a padded case and pretty protected. but I wouldn't think it was thinner or more poorly constructed. Looking at the back of the case doesn't lend to that theory. it seems pretty sturdy.

I'd like to hear how you come by the theory that the MPower case is inferior. Since it is in a padded case, even if it were, what difference would it make if the plastic were thinner?

That person is right on the money with that statement.
I would imagine they did this to make the machine lighter in weight. I am most definitely keeping my old friend, the Braille Note 32 just because it is a rare day that it isn't there for me and it is of a different era but as I am wont to say, "it woiks, folks, it woiks."

Hi,

I've just read elsewhere from an MPower user that the quality of the plastic casing is inferior to that on the original BN's and that loss of speech happens on a regular basis.

Before splashing out on one of these, I'd appreciate any comments from current users, please.
