I do the same.
One thing to keep in mind, is that the voltage coming out of the live
end of the adapter is stepped down considerably from what is coming to
the outlet.
Were I to follow this advice, I would have to unplug my laptop charger
from the wall, then unplug my laptop, then put the charger somewhere
safe and out of the way, then when I come home, I would have to unwrap
the charger, plug it into  my laptop, then 
Plug it into the wall outlet again.
Insane!

I'm glad I never upgraded to 6.1 but went straight from 5.1 to Mpower 
implant.

I have always been able to unplug the BN adapter cord without unplugging

from the wall socket.  In fact, I leave the adapter in the socket as
much as 
possible.
