Hey, I don't blame you, Mary Ellen. <grin> I don't think zipping a file takes that long though. I mean last time Pam and I had this problem, Kylee (whose name I probably spelled wrong) zipped it up and had it out to us in a matter of minutes. I think they just forgot that some customers can't do .bin files, since most can.

Peggy I think they simply wanted to get this patch up on the web site as quickly as possible since I opened my big fat mouth about it. Probably had I not said anything it would have given these folks the chance to zip it up.
I am sorry for causing you this inconvenience.
Thanks!

Subject: [Braillenote] Upgrades and SMA's and no .zip files

Hi, all. Seeing this new build of Keysoft 6.2 put on the Humanware website as a .bin file, with no alternative .zip file for those of us who can'd download .bin files has me a little concerned. I purchased a SMA a few weeks ago, choosing the download only option, because it was more economical. So far, with the free builds to version 6.2, it hasn't been a problem, because I can always ask that the file be sent to me as a .zip file. But what will happen when we start getting the regular upgrades? If Humanware is going to continue to put them up as .bin files, I won't be able to download what I've paid for. Will Humanware be putting up Keysoft 7.0 as a .zip file? Or will I have to give someone on the list my serial number so they can download the .bin file for me and send it to me? Or will I need to call the office and change my SMA to one that comes on an SD card and pay the extra money, just because I can't seem to download .bin files? I had hoped this was going to be dealt with after the last patch, when Pam and I both had problems downloading it and had to have it sent to us as .zip files; but alas, this new build is just a .bin file. I'm just feeling a bit disappointed at being unable to access the files I'm entitled to, and seeing that nothing has changed in how they're put on the website, despite lots of emails going back and forth about this just a couple months ago.

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox and continue to brainstorm about ways to get .bin files, especially once they need to be downloaded for my specific serial number.

Peggy
