Apologies - egg on face - it is on the bottom of the unit but, since this came in the case and we had no indication that the number was there, we didn't actually look. The problem is that you cannot read it without removing the case, though if it were put nearer to the edge then you could. In addition, there's no number sign so it's difficult to know which way round you're supposed to be reading it - which could make for some very interesting numbers!
