Try space with E?? Sounds like you may be in the keyboard learn mode?

I don't know if I am on the main menu, the speech will tell me a letter if
I push the keys for a b etc. What is the 123 reset? thanks Sandi

See if it brings on your speech. Otherwise, do a 123 reset. It doesn't hurt
to do that.
