Hi, all
What I'd like to know is, why doesn't Enabling get with the programme and
use USB? I just got my embosser (which I've only tried on the PC and not
the MPower) and it's still not got a USB interface, even in this day and
age. The $250 is expensive (probably would be even more in NZ currency)
but
it's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying another embosser or paying for a
new MPower rather than the transplant I had.

I couldn't agree with you more! I will call Enabling Technology to see
if
they have some better options. They spoke about some kind of Infrared
interface which could be connected to their embossers. I'll see if that
is
a bit less if still available. Maybe they are recommending some kind of
bluetooth device, one never knows! I had two different USB to parallel
cables in here, one required software of some sort and the other
doesn't. I kept getting card not recognized messages whenever I used
either cable. The last one I tried would have cost $6. Maybe 7.0
upgrade
might be configured to where a lesser costly interface might be used, I
really don't know! What's sad is I had other plans for my older unit to
hopefully help me recover some of my expense in getting the M-power but
it
appears I'll need to use it to emboss documents! I'll keep you posted if
I
learn anything more.
