Perhaps so but then one has what they happen to have at the time and one
would like to keep it working as long as possible I'd say. Perhaps in 7.0,
Humanware may be able to come up with a plan in the software so that a more
generic connection could be used and not be so cost prohibitive. Time will
tell! For now, I'd say the Edgeport for $160 or $250 is truly
ridiculous! Somebody is going to need to convince me that this is truly
what I need to keep my equipment in operation! We'll see how the infrared
works.

What I'd like to know is, why doesn't Enabling get with the programme

use USB? I just got my embosser (which I've only tried on the PC and
not
the MPower) and it's still not got a USB interface, even in this day and
age. The $250 is expensive (probably would be even more in NZ currency)
but
it's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying another embosser or paying for
a
new MPower rather than the transplant I had.
