Jim, I think you should try making and using a database but, using a similar setup, I have to say that I think I prefer the simple file method when time and thinking about a number of issues at once are involved.
Cheers and I hope you get what suits you best here. -- Carol [EMAIL PROTECTED] My personal preference -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jim Noseworthy Sent: Monday, February 20, 2006 3:41 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: [Braillenote] File List, or DataBase question. Hi Gang: As a worship leader, I require access to a lot of songs as quickly as possible. At the present time, I have a directory containing all of the songs: 1 per file. The file hs: 1. the key in which the song is played; 2. the number of verses; 3. the complete text of the song. My question is: would I be better off using a database or should I stick with the file list format. Thanks all over the place gang. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote -- No virus found in this incoming message.
