Hi joseph, Okay, that' has been taken care of. I don't see that the windows fire walll is blocking active sync. As a matter of fact, it's working fine with my maestro which you may know is a usb device. But none the less it still will not work. So I'm obviously doing something wrong./

It's still no go. First let me say, I'm running windows xp professional service pack 2. I've installed active sync 3.8 now when I open active sync and look under file in the connectivity manager, I have checked serial and infrared. When I try to open the dialog box, to put in a serial port number, nothing happens. I arrowed around with my mouse keys and hear a reference to comport 3. then just below that I hear status and no comport. So then I tried going to control panel and adding the braillenote in bluetooth which the computer did permit me to do. I tried it with a passkey I made up, but since the braillenote did not see the computer the braillenote did not offer me an opportunity to put in a passkey. So I tried it without a passkey, and while the add bluetooth device was completed successfully acfcording to my computer, the two still do not talked to one another. I get the same information in active sync as I did before.
