Hi Stacey,

I have the WD 80GB drive, but I don't have the adapter.  I don't see the need 
for it.  The drive has no battery to charge, so the only reason I can think of 
to plug in the drive would be if I had one of those laptops with a very 
low-powered USB port, but I could be totally off-base here.  Still and all, I 
hope these thoughts help.  <Grins>
