Really? In the past, I have replaced all files in /keysoft system disk/windows that I wanted to change, but ActiveSync stopped letting me do that. How interesting. Could any drivers and such we may have go in /flashdisk/windows, too?

Don't get me wrong, though: the music is great, a massive improvement over the classics. I just find it somewhat conspicuous in a class or other crowded area. Has any thought been given to a sort of "sound manager" that could alter alarm, reset, record, progress, and other sounds? That would be nice.

Subject: [Braillenote] Getting Rid of the Truly Wonderful Reset
Music

Hi Richard. Here is a work-around for your reset music issue,
even though
it pains me deeply that you don't like it <smile>.

If a folder called Windows doesn't exist on your flash disk,
create one.
Using a sound editor, make a wav file called startup.wav. It can
have a
tiny beep sound, nothing at all, or anything you like. Put
startup.wav in
your Windows folder on the flash disk, and do a reset. KeySoft
will tell
you that system files have been updated, and to perform a reset.
The
second time you reset, your new reset sound will be working.
