Hello all, This I think points up the fact that it will be a really good thing if the bn can support audible books and overdrive media. I know it involves special rights. But it would still be nice. So many sighted people are using audio books now that the chicago public library and libraries in other cities are putting audio books on line that you can download if you have a valid library card.
But unless you want to stay chained to your pc or buy one more portable device, you can't really take advantage of this new opportunity. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Richard Ring Sent: Thursday, May 11, 2006 4:42 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] reading books I believe they will be back, but if any of you feel the urge to express your concerns, send email to: Frank Kurt Cylke at NLS ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) The only way this will be speeded up is people tell NLS they want it back. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ann K. I hope that they're back soon too! May I suggest Gutenberg, blackmask, Baen books, Braille.org I think it's called?
