Hi Mary:
One of the things I really liked about the braille lite is the o
chord k command to calculate a line of numbers. I used to use
that a lot with my banking, and really haven't found anything in
the bn that worked as well for me. I do have a banking database
that I used that someone sent me quite awhile ago, but with the
coming of on-line banking, I don't need to keep track as much
anymore, I do it all on my pc. You could just keep a keyword
document, but then you'd have to calculate. If you have a pc you
could use excel to do this too, I have done that before too.
Sorry, I'm not much help.

Subject: [Braillenote] Suggestions needed
Hello list.
I know I could figure this out on my own, but I'm looking for
strategies to help me make the transition from my old Braille
Lite to the BN.
I used to use my BLT to keep up with my banking. I didn't do
anything all that fancy. I just kept a special file called Bank
where I wrote the amounts I paid out or depositedand then I added
or subtracted from a memory, usually A. If I thought that maybe
I had a mistake, I would use another memory to try and find the
mistake. This fairly low-tech method worked pretty well for me
except when I had a severe crash or cold boot, or when I just
forgot to enter something.
Does anybody have a nice, fairly easy strategy for banking that
doesn't take a degree in computer science? Not sure which
feature to use, Keyword, the database, or what. I probably need
to keep it fairly simple or I'll just quit doing it.
Thanks in advance.
Unapologetically lazy.
