When I used to work at a blindness agency in Seattle, there were many
deaf-blind employees, and we often used MSN messenger to communicate with
them. I also use it regularly at home on my PC, as a quick means of
communicating with people. I don't instant message while I'm on the phone
or anything like that. For instance, when I am writing, sometimes, I ask a
friend of mine who is also a writer, for her ideas on certain things. It's
a quick back and forth. I also have friends who hate talking on the phone,
so messaging is a nice way to have instant communication with them. It's no
longer just a program for kids. I'm ... well, somewhere between 40 and 50,
and I use it everyday to some extent. I was very happy to read Jonathan's
message down thread that instant messaging will be part of a future release.

Terri,
Even though that you may not use it, it may benefit other people. MSN
Messenger is a program that can be used for many purposes, which some of
them include these: professional environment, educational environment,
leisure, and much more.
So, even though one fish out of the pond may not want it--others may.
Kevin
