Hi Jenny,
I wouldn't trade my 32 cell display for anything much. I have used
it when teaching, to make sure I have a copy of my students' outlines, as
well as for my own personal notes. There's no way I would go back to
anything smaller than 32 cells. It's just so much easier. It's like
looking at a whole line of Braille on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper, and that's
great for me. I think, though, it's what you get used to using. I imagine
people using an 18 cell display will have similar thoughts about how much
easier it is with the Braille and more professional than the voice, but for
some, the voice only option is what works. My philosophy is to get the
equipment that works best for you and your individual needs, and to let
others make the choice that's best for them.

Subject: [Braillenote] braillenote mpower q t

Hi Listers

I'm thinking about buying a Braillenote QT 18 cell or 32 celll, next year. I
don't want to read books in braille. But I do want to use it to proofread
documents, such as minutes etc. I also want to use it for public speaking.
Just to look at my notes, not read a whole presentation.

So what I want to know is, how those of you who have braille displays,
manage with either an 18 cell or a 32 cell.

Thank you in anticipation.

Jenny
