Brandon,
The software on the CDRom is for the laptop, not the Braille Note. I
have the Ammbicom card for my Braille Note, but because I do not have
a built in card reader in my laptop, I bought another Ambicom card as
a PC card for that. That required the software. As for the BN, all I
have to do is plug the card into the back slot and activate the
wireless connectivity.

my question about that whole thing is if you go out and buy a wifie
card that goes on a laptop and put it in your bn, then where would
you install the software that comes with it on cd rom?

But if you use the same card with the BN, how do you install the
drivers for the same?
You don't have a CD drive. Or you don't need the drivers for BN?

Tara,
If the laptop recognizes the WiFi card, then you can use it. Most
laptops these days comes with the built-in WiFi chip. If it does
not recognize it, then you can install the driver that is included
with the card.

Hi all.
Can we use wireless cards for note books with
BN too?
Or the cards for the devices like BN are
special?
Thanks

Chaman,
You are using so-called static IP address.
The router should be
configured to assign dynamic IP address.
Alternatively, when you are
setting up a connection configuration, say
no at the prompt about obtain
IP address, then type the address like this:
192.168.0.25. Then you won't
have this problem.
