Try using your school's smtp server. I was having this problem and thought I
had found a work around but that didn't work.

Today, what I did was change the smtp to:

smtp."name of my school".edu

where name of your school would but what is in the main homepage web address
for your school.

Example:
I go to the University of Louisville. Our school website is: www.louisville.edu

therefore I changed my smtp to:

smtp.louisville.edu

Now I can send email. I can't guarantee this will work at every school but you
can certainly try it. I had picked up an email account that stated they had
smtp sending but when I got to school today it didn't work just like my home
email. But when I changed it miraculously worked. I am going to try to obtain
the smtp of the hotel when I am traveling to hopefully be able to send.

Good luck.

Cindy
