I received this message from a US Humanware support person.
Original message:

Hello Richard,

Windows Vista includes a new integrated Sync Center that replaces the
current ActiveSync application for Windows XP.
Currently the BrailleNote can be connected to a Vista machine, and files and
documents can be transferred with no problem. Microsoft Outlook contacts
and calendar data via KeySync is currently not supported under Vista, but
our developers are at work and there will hopefully be news to share soon.

Regards,

Matthew

Subject: [Braillenote] Vista and Office 2007

I was wondering if anyone has heard what HumanWare is planning on doing so
Office 2007 files can be read on the BrailleNote? Since Office 2007 and
Vista are currently both out on the market. And, since Vista is out, is
HumanWare planning on allowing the ability to synchronize with either a
Vista desktop/laptop. To my knowledge Vista is not planning on using
ActiveSync 4.2, instead they are planning on using SyncToy v1.4. I am
assuming HumanWare is working on something because if they are not they will
be left behind in the ever growing so fast technological evolution. I think
one of the major things that must be done is upgrading the operating system
to Windows CE 6.0, this will fix many other issues that people have been
looking for, and this will put the BrailleNote in the lead of having the
latest operating system, since all of the other note taking devices are only
up to 5.0 at the most. This will also make it so the BrailleNote is able to
synchronize with Vista units and read Office 2007 files. This will also
open up the ability to use a wider range of devices, whether that is going
through bluetooth, USB, or through some other means of connection.

This will require a lot of work on HumanWare side, but we have to start
somewhere.
