Hi, if all you want to do is transfer files then you can do that with a card reader on you computer. And with upgrades I copy them to a CF card because I am using a Classic. So you can either download them on your computer and transfer using the card reader or you can connect your BN to the net and download it straight to the BN and put it on the card that way. I'm not sure about how to download using the BN because I do it all on my computer now and I don't actually use active sink for transferring files anymore, I found it allot easier to just put them on a card and do it that way. So if you don't want to sink your calendar or contacts then you don't need active sink.
Hope this answers your question. >From Shaz. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rob Lambert" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, February 10, 2007 3:53 PM Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Is ActiveSync really needed? Here's some more inside info. In terms of syncing all I'd need would be my documents as I do not use outlook (and don't plan on using it), and i could just get my data off of a CF card, and Johnathan Mosen's tutorial for KeySoft 5.1 stated that you could install the KeySoft OS upgrade on the BN itself using the installer file OR use ActiveSync. The reason I bring this up is that Jose said that I do not need ActiveSync, and Joseph said that I do...so...who's right? LOL --- Joseph Lee <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Rob, > I'm sorry for delay.
