Hi Terry, I guess what I am used to is a system more like Windows, where you can create a file, and don't have to choose either a filename or folder until you're ready to exit and save the file. This means that with the notetaker I'm currently using, you can open a new file with anywhere from two to four quick keystrokes, depending on certain variables. It also means that if you're just jotting something down that you need for a few hours, say directions, a phone number or whatever, you can open a file to write the info down, but don't actually have to save a file which you might later just want to go in and delete. What your suggesting seems OK if that file exists, but if it doesn't than you have to select all that stuff right up front, which seems time=consuming to me.
